Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Pocketsports, Inc., operating PocketCaddie (“PocketCaddie,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use PocketCaddie mobile applications and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Anonymous user identifiers. When you first launch the app, we generate an anonymous identifier so we can persist your data across sessions without requiring you to create an account.
• Swing sensor data. Motion data captured by your iPhone and Apple Watch during swing recording (accelerometer, gyroscope, and orientation samples) is uploaded so PocketCaddie can analyze your swing.
• Device and wearable telemetry. Basic device information such as iOS version, device model, watchOS version, and app version, used for compatibility and diagnostics.
• Sign in with Apple (optional). If you choose to create an account using Sign in with Apple, we receive the identifier, name, and email address you choose to share.
• Usage and crash data. Aggregate, non-identifying usage and stability data that helps us improve the Service.

Basic swing recording does not require access to your contacts or microphone. Optional Android course and location features are described below.

Android and wearable features

The Android app records phone motion locally. A supported Wear OS or Garmin companion can add wrist motion. Available measurements depend on the device and recording quality. Summary sync is optional and requires signing in. Raw recordings stay on your recording devices unless you explicitly export or contribute them. Wear OS delivery can use Google's device connectivity infrastructure; Garmin communication uses Garmin Connect.

Course search sends the text you enter to Google Places to find matching courses. Map views request map content from Google Maps. Saved course names, addresses and coordinates are kept on your device. Course search does not require your current location.

If you enable course-arrival reminders and grant the required location permissions, Google Play services uses your precise location, including in the background when the app is not open, to detect arrival near your saved courses and show a reminder. You can turn these reminders off in the app or revoke location permission in Android settings. Basic practice recording remains available without course-arrival reminders.

When configured and chosen by you, Google sign-in supplies verified account information to Supabase, Google Play processes subscriptions, and Firebase Cloud Messaging handles notification delivery. Notification registration includes an installation token and notification preferences. The Android recording feature does not require location, microphone, contacts, heart-rate or head-motion access.

If you use AI Caddie, your messages and relevant practice context are processed by PocketCaddie's AI service using Anthropic. AI responses are generated coaching suggestions. Avoid including information in chat that you do not want sent to this service.

How We Use Your Information

• To analyze your swings and surface coaching feedback.
• To save your history and progress across sessions and devices.
• To debug, secure, and improve the Service.
• To send you transactional emails (e.g., TestFlight invites, subscription receipts) if you have provided an email address.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your swing data for advertising.

Third-Party Services

We rely on a small set of trusted infrastructure providers:

• Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage). Anonymous user records, swing analysis results, and uploaded raw samples are stored in our Supabase project.
• Apple(Sign in with Apple, App Store, TestFlight, push notifications). Apple’s privacy policy applies to data handled by Apple.
• Google (optional Android sign-in, Play purchases, Maps and Places, course-arrival geofencing, Wear OS connectivity and Firebase notifications) and Garmin (supported watch communication through Garmin Connect), when you use those features.
• Anthropic, for AI Caddie messages and relevant practice context when you use AI coaching.

These providers process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.

Data Retention

We retain swing data and analysis results for as long as your account (or anonymous identifier) is active, so you can review your history. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us at the address below; we process email deletion requests within 30 days. App-account deletion removes your cloud practice records and account identity, subject to the retained categories described below.

Subscription accounting, affiliate payout and payment-provider records, and other golfers' referral history remain after app-account deletion. For a deleted affiliate account, personal contact and application details are removed and referral codes are disabled, while settlement references remain. These retained records are not all anonymous. Separate creator, sponsor, contract and business-contact records are not removed by the app-account deletion action; contact us to request review of those records.

Visit Delete your account to request removal without installing the app, or use the deletion option in your app. Deleting an app account does not cancel a store subscription. Copies you exported or shared are under your control.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. You may also delete the app at any time, which removes the local cache from your device.

Children

PocketCaddie is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and access controls on our backend. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
