Driver Tilt Setup
Set the trail shoulder lower and the chest behind the ball before you swing the driver.
Swing PathPosture
Use this if
Your driver setup has level or open shoulders.
The fault
Level or open shoulders at driver address, so the club swings down steep and across.
Steps
- Take your driver setup with the ball teed off the lead heel
- Put the trail hand on the side of the trail thigh
- Slide it down a few inches: trail shoulder drops, lead shoulder rises
- Re-grip without losing the tilt
- Swing with the chest staying behind the ball through impact
Hand down the thigh, chest stays behind
Reps
Set the tilt on every driver for 10 balls
Why it works
Sliding the trail hand down the trail thigh tilts the spine away from the target and squares the shoulders. From that tilt the chest stays behind the ball and the club has room to come from the inside instead of down and across.
You need
Club, ball, tee
