Use this if

Your hips stop at impact and the hands flip.

The fault

The hips stop at impact and the hands flip to finish the swing.

Steps

  1. Slide a stick through your front belt loops; cross your arms
  2. Turn back, then turn through until the buckle faces the target
  3. Drop the stick; make half swings with a 7-iron to the same finish
  4. Hold each finish for three seconds
  5. Hit 10 balls, buckle to the target every time

Buckle to the target, hold three

Reps

5 stick rehearsals, then 3 x 5 balls holding each finish for three seconds

Why it works

Giving the hips a destination past the ball (buckle facing the target) keeps the pelvis rotating through impact, so the arms are carried by the turn rather than flipping on their own.

You need

Alignment stick, club, ball

At home

At home, a resistance band anchored behind you at lead-hip height adds pull for no-ball reps.
